You could just be doing to much, but check with the doc to make sure everything is ok! :)

My surgery was on 9/20 and i went back to work one week later. It was also my first day on soft/pureed food as well. I had a 4 oz yogurt for Breakfast, about 2 hours later I felt bloated and in pain. It felt like it was the day after surgery. Don't know if I ate too much, too fast or the extra activity was the problem. The next day i had my Protein Shakes at work and decided to just try and eat at home. I wish i could have taken more time off too but it was not an option. I haven't had any issues with the pureed/soft foods since.

I went back to work after 2 weeks post surgery. I just stuck with Protein Shakes, yogurt, Soup, etc...Oh and sipped Water all day. It was really hard, I was tired and achey, my tummy still felt tender, I couldn't hardly eat, etc...but my doctor said it was normal and I was still healing. I would definitely talk to your doctor, but for sure just give your self time to heal. Even though the band is less invasive, it is still major surgery....give your self the time...your journey has just begun.

Think about what you are eating. During my soft foods stage I had indigestion horrible. Mashed potatoes gave it to me bad as did the Protein Shakes. I took tums the first couple of weeks to keep the stomach happy, now I am fine and rarely ever have it.

I was banded 9/17. I work two jobs and went back to second job because it lighter work. I was ok the first day but very sore each day. It would be hard just to sit on car and drive. The port is sewn onto the muscle so its gonna be really tender since you are working.

I was going back 2 weeks later but due to the pain at the port site, I just came from my first post op appointment and decided to go back after 3 weeks. I thought I would be just up and running but I guess age does not allow for that, Lol.

like internal port pain? i think that is what i have. its not the incision site or anything...

well, how young are you? lol i have felt the same way... like i should be good to go, but my body seems to be telling me it is still doing some healing!

It's the muscle that you are feeling. It's still tender. Now that u are using it again you feel pain. Each day I feel a little better. Usually at the end of the day is when I'm more so. It's hurts to sit up in a chair.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
