Pregnancy After Being Banded.

My mom is not on board with me being banded. She thinks I'll loose any baby my husband & I get pregnant with. Has anyone been able to get pregnant successfully after being banded? What precautions will my doctors take to insure my future baby is safe?

I've not been banded yet...looking to get banded in Jan 2013.

There are many, many healthy band babies born all the time. I heard a doctor on doctor radio say that his waiting room is full of pregnant woman (mainly because you can become very feritle after losing weight) and some of his lap band ladies are on their second or third baby. This is one of the main reasons I'm getting banded, so it's definitely safe!

I was able to. Get pregnant. After my band I opened my band and gained 98 pounds with my belly and now I still got 35 more to go

Last time I checked we carry a baby in the womb... Not the stomach, I am not a dr but I don't see what the correlation is. There are several pregnant women who are patient of my dr so I think maybe if it's important to you ask mom to go with you to your consult and ask the question specifically. The dr will tell the truth.

So it's very safe. And b4 my weight. Lost. I tryed to have. Baby. But I never was able to keep it I kept losing it
