Do You Gain The Weight Back After Its Removed?

I'm still unsure whether to get the band.. My biggest concern is if I have to get it removed for whatever reason, will I gain the weight back?

Not if you eat right and exercise. :)

You can't go back to eating like you did pre-band so if you develope good and correct eating habits while banded and continued them if you had to have band removal you should be able to maintain your weight.

i hope I never have to find out.... but TKW is spot on. If you diet and exercise you should be able to maintain your weight.

If you get it removed you'll be hungry again.

I lost 69 pounds with the lap band. Had it removed July 9. Have lost 8 more pounds. It's all up to you and always will be. I went vegan which makes losing weight effortless but veganism requires a commitment to the cause, whether it be not wanting to eat dead animals or being healthy. Eat right, exercise and pay attention. Bottom line. Good luck!

Hi my name is Cheryl, I had mine removed July 18 th and I feel like, I know I have gained weight back. My clothes are tight. I feel like **** and a loser. I had the band for over 2yrs. And lost 100+ . I really hate that I had to have it removed. ( for medical reasons ). The feeling that I can eat anything is really killing me Has anyone else had this happen to them??
