  1. I'm still unsure whether to get the band.. My biggest concern is if I have to get it removed for whatever reason, will I gain the weight back?
  2. Hi all, I'm 193 lbs, 5'4, bmi 33. I'm on the fence about getting the lapband. These are my concerns... 1. Complications. They say lapband is forever but does anyone know anyone who has had the band for a long time? > 20 years? 2. If for some reason I need to take the band out, will I gain back the weight quickly? The doctor I spoke to said yes you will definitely gain the weight back if you get it taken out. This is actually my biggest concern. 3. I feel guilty... Like I'm taking the easy route. 4. I'm self pay. If I have future complications will my insurance pay for it? Any advice? Thanks, Laurie
