Anyone Going Through Illinois Bariatric Center??

Just wondering if there are any of you from Illinois going here. If so I would like to know how your surgery went and how you are doing. Good luck to all of us on our journeys!!!

I am. I have not had my surgery yet. I mainly visit the Champaign office, but have went to Clinton as well.

Yep, I went through there. Great staff!

Threekidsmom, when is your surgery scheduled? It would be nice to have some other people to talk with on here, lets keep in touch.

Surgery was December of 2009. Doing great. Been at goal weight for a while now, actually below it. As weird as it is, I think maintaing weight is almost harder than the losing part. My bmi is in a healthy range (23.?) and my body fat percent is around 21%. Just had a tummy tuck a month ago and feeling great. Very happy with my decision to have the band!

Tracy, thats great you are at your goal!!!! Do you have problems eating any foods now? I hope I dont have to have a tummy tuck. If you dont mind me asking how many pounds did you lose? Well congradulations, great job!!! Im on day 5 of preop diet, hope im not eating to much on it. Getting pretty nervous.

I have lost 170lbs. I do have problems eating some foods, but that is because I choose to keep my band on the tight side. It is all preference and for me, this works. Granted I have been thinking of having some taken out because I have been weight lifting and I need more calories in order to build the muscle that I want. I can not get the required calories in for that.

That preop diet can be a bear. Once you get past the first week, it does get easier.

I am going to the one in Clinton. My surgery date is not set up yet. I have went for the consults last week and not sure where I

m at now with it. Guess I am to hear back in two weeks.

What part in Illinois are you in? I'm 2 1/2 hours west of Clinton. Sucks to have such a drive, but I do love it there.

I am waiting on my psych report to come back. Then just waiting for the information to go to my insurance. I am frustrated the report is takin so long. (I am impatient) I meet the criteria for the insurance so hopefully I can get scheduled ASAP.

I like the staff a lot with the exception of one lady. I am not sure of her name but she is not friendly like everyone else.
