I Have Had It With The Shoulder Pain!!!!

I am 6 days post op and the "gas pain" in my neck and shoulder are 0% better! I am walking, trying to burp help eating gas x., drinking water, and everything else except stand on my head. Tomorrow is my last day at home and I feel plain awful. Everything else is fine, it's just the shoulder and neck pain I cannot shake it! Praying for a miracle

Yep, the shoulder pain is a nightmare. Have you been taking pain killers? Sounds like you are not ready to go back to work tomorrow. Can you get any more time off?

The only consolation I can offer is that it does pass. It was about day 10 for me.

Good luck!

Take children liquid ibuprofen...my Doc suggestef..it n I helped me.alot

Yup, I'm in the same boat :( spoke to the nurse practitioner in the office today, she said that it's normal, sometimes takes up to a month for it to fully go away!!! I don't know about you but I can't tolerate it for that long! I go back to work Friday..

I also used a heating pad today and that helped a lot. Just use it for about 30 minutes then turn it off for an hour ot two, then again for 30 minutes. If you use it for longer periods you can actually make the pain worse because you will draw too much blood to the area.

day 8 for me when my shoulder stopped hurting. i advise to just continue with the meds (and use heating pad if it helps) i also did the whirly wheel with my arms to (help) it seemed too. hang in there this too will pass

:)
