Congrats on being banded! I was banded July 12. For about 3 weeks I had a swollen hard lump where port is. That has since gone down. If pain persists and swelling isn't reduced just call your doctor.
hi there.. I was banded on the 25th and although I could not be happier to finally have my band placed and to be feeling better, I am worried because I expected a lump where my port is but my port area is normal looking not red or infected but is swollen and har for approx 3 inches diam. its weird, its like my muscle there has just become raised and riggid a couple inches all the way around my incision? I am concerned becasue although I fdont have much pain normally I do have alot of pain when standing back up after bending or sitting for a while. I am also becoming very hungry and frankly this is scary to me! I cannot hav a fill for atleast a few more weeks and dont want to regain any weight. I am still on full liquid diet and surviving mostly on soups and gatorade and water. Please tell me if this stuff is normal or what I can do about it.. thanks yall
