To Fill Or Not To Fill?

For the past 2 years I have been doing great at maintaining my weight, the problem is I'm not at goal. I'm just unsure if I should get a fill or not. I feel like I'm in my "sweet spot" as far as eating goes and maintaining. ( I know once I get to goal I won't have a problem maintaining! lol) When I cut back on how much I'm eating to try to jump start me losing again I start getting really hungry.

So I'm looking for some advice. Should I schedule a fill? I'm just afraid of messing up my sweet spot. But is it really a sweet spot if I'm not losing anymore?

Hi, see your surgeon, run the questions by him/her. I am in the sweet spot, too! But, I have gained during maintenance due to my own fault. My surgeon, even tho' he is supportive, will not fill me further because I can't tolerate any more fill than 5cc. If he puts in even 5.5 the barium will not pass through. So, I am watching my calorie count and doing what any good dieter would do to take off the lbs I gained while not doing what I should do!!!But, anyway, if you are in your sweet spot, and near goal, I think to hang in there and decrease your calories (if you are at normal count like 1200-1400). I need to eat under 1200 to lose and 1400 to stay the same. Best wishes, I hope that helps. Karen

Hi Karen ,

Thanks for the response, I still have about 60 lbs to go so I'm not near goal I'm a about half way there. I've been eating about 1200 calories a day. But I'll check with my doctor. Thanks

Maybe step up the excercise , how many carbs cut some if over 60 , eat protein first and then wait to see if you really need more food, smaller plate , smaller fork. MY Dr sasys you can not lose without enough protein. Sweet Spot isn't sweet if you are eating the wrong foods. I find when I get in trouble it's always to many carb. Good Luck....,
