i have tricare prime insurance and will start receiving fills in the coming months. what is the procedure?

do i need to get referral from my pcd and have them submit for approval?

if so, how many fills do they allow or is there a set limit?

do you pay the co-pay?

what if they do xray, do you need special referral/approval for that?

I have tricare prime and I pay $12.00 for my fills.. Your referral from surgery is good for 5 months, ( usually ) after that you usually go to your primary care dr. and have him do another referral and that's good for 5 months too. Tricare is really good on the referrals.. I haven't done an xray yet, but if the dr. orders one tricare will ok it..

Tests are usually never denied..

P.S when my first referral expired my WLS center did the extension for me. but that's usually a 1 time deal..
