I'm about 5 weeks post-op and I feel discomfort in my port area during sex (missionary position). I feel like I have to press down on the port the whole time. I rarely every feel my port at other times. It is to the left and just above my belly button. Has anyone had this and does it go away?

I had had something similiar, if he leans on it, it is uncomfortable but not painful all it takes to go away if a little readjusting.

Yes, I experienced the same thing during missionary position the first few weeks. I just kept my hand on the port site to support it. It eventually went away.

That's my experience too -- not pain. But what do you mean by "all it takes to go away is a little readjusting"? Readjusting the port (if so, how do you do this) or readjusting him ?

I think you get used to it or find a slightly different position to accommodate the port. I'm definitely aware of it at times like that, but it's not pain at all.

Can feel it when he leans on it but it wasn't painful just felt pressure on the site.

it happened to me up untill 2 months out. i had to make him lean more toward to the right and i had to hold my port.

I didn't know you could put anything in your port, besides saline?!
