Protein Powder Suggestions

I'd like to prepare for my August surgery by trying to make it on two Protein shakes and 1 meal per day which is pretty much what my pre-op diet will look like. I'm getting my lap band through True Results Houston and they gave me samples of their branded powders which are pretty tasty if I doctor them up which I won't be able to do post-op. Anyone have any Protein Powders that they recommend??

Your imput is greatly appreciated.

Happy Sunday!

I like Jay Robb's Whey Protein powder in chocolate. No bad after taste and tastes just like Ovaltine to me! Yum!

One of my fav is Chike protein powder..i think u can only order it online but i am enjoying all of their flavors...choc/van/orange cream/strawberry/banana cream. Even then i mix things up a liitle and make my own flavora like pina colada! I tried the unjury, gnc, atkins, dessert lean, oh yeah rtd's (yuck)..so far chike is my top choice!

OMG! I have the wrong Whey Protein! I just know I do! I have purchased from Walmart, the 60g Premium Protein, Whey Protein Elite Series! Has anybody ever used this product? (Maybe the clue that it is probably the wrong product is the 4 muscular men on the front of the container??) It was suggested by the nutritionist that I get Beneprotein, but I can't find it anywhere. Is this stuff gonna kill me?? I also purchased the Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey Protein. Need desperate help on my protein delimina!

Ok, thank you! I have heard of Garden of Life. I am returning my purchases to Wal-mart.

When I got banded, I decided to eat as much organic as possible. It's more expensive, but I really want everything that passes my lips to be non-toxic, non GMO, and as healthy as possible. When I have a treat, it's just a treat and not a disaster :) I've been able to afford organic because I eat less!

Hope you can find a good price on the Garden of Life Raw Meal.

Another product I really like is Metagenics Probiotic (acute care). I have used Garden of Life probiotics and they are great, but I found the Metagenics one had a much more dramatic impact for me. My surgeon told me there is an ingredient in it that helps with stress (I didn't exactly understand his whole explanation about it, but SO glad I tried the product because it's made a huge difference for me!!!).

Just FYI soy is considered an inflammatory food and has been linked to multiple cancers. I'd say stick with a whey protein!

I dont do soy, either. It messes with hormones, as well.
