Tt Scar Suggestions

Recommended Posts

Those of you that have had a TT, what have you done about the scar? Mine is 11 mon. Old and very dark and raised. Has anyone done any laser treatment, creams, etc. that worked? Im also considering a flesh colored tattoo. Please let me know what has or hasn't worked for you. Thanks!

Mederma has helped me plus the fact that I had to wear my compression garment for 3 months. I did have laser removal of a scar on my back and it lightened up a lot but it is painful and you cannot tan the area you have it done on while in treatment plus it's a long and expensive process.

I wore a compression garment for several months and just this month, stop wearing Spanx everyday because it is so hot here. I tried mederma, Vitamin e oil, bleaching cream,Vaseline with aloe daily, etc.

Maybe you could just try the laser on a small area to see if it works that way you know if you want to spend the money and time on it :-) like I said it worked on my back but it was a small area about the size of a half dollar so it only took 30 seconds of pain each time but it took over a year to have it gone plus $1500.

Thanks for that information, that's more time and money than I want to spend for more pain and possibly little results. A flesh colored tattoo may be the way I go. I'm going to think about it more, but with more information.

i had talked to my PS about scaring and he said they really don't have anything over the counter that will help scars and/or stretch marks. They all pretty much are gimmicks. He said a good moisturizing cream is the best thing... keep it moistened. I'm lucky that i scar well. I'm now going into week 12 since my TT and i did have a spot on my left hip that opened and i'm having to let heal from the inside out... it is thicker. But i rather have the scar than the roll of fat and skin....

Oh... my aunt swears by coconut oil....

Good luck

I was looking @ the silicone strips u put on. Those seem to have good results. I was going to do them for my arms.

What's a TT?

Ha. I think they mean Tummy Tuck. I am laughing because some of these abreviations on here confuse me too.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
