My son in law is about to deploy for a year. This will be the last time I see him for a while. Too soon to have some wine?

One glass will probably put you on your ass, but I'd go ahead and enjoy it!

I agree with 1shauna- I say enjoy it. It's not carbonated, and it's a liquid, so worse it can do is put you on your butt *laughs*

Is it really that bad after you have the band? My son comes back from deployment in September to get married. Maybe I should re-think this drinking thing if it's going to land me out in the grass somewhere. Then again, I might need a drink after having the whole family get together.lol

I have found that my toleranace is much lower the more weight i loose. The last time I had a glass of wine, 1/2 glass and I was ready to slide off the chair!!! Go ahead, just be aware. Karen

Enjoy, they say no because of calories. My dr. is fine with special occassions.

I was told no alcohol for at least three months. You are still healing from surgery; I'd pass on the wine.

Go for it... And enjoy w/out guilt!

I went to Chilis 2 weeks post op and had 2 glasses....( felt like heaven)

of course you can have some wine.. not too much, can you water it down some or put lots of ice in it though??

Ive heard wl surgery makes one a cheap drunk, but I went in wine tour and was fine....other than headache. Granted I am almost one year out...but I can have a couple margaritas and still be fine....
