My incisions itched for awhile. I'm now on mushy food, my swelling has gone down and I have discovered that I no longer have to drink slowly, I think I can eat anything with little restriction, although I have not tried anything. But yesterday ate much more than I should be able. Right now fell like I don't have a band at all. First fill is on June 25th, gotta be careful.

My surgery is tomorrow, 5/30. Sooooo nervous. I'm really dreading getting an IV and getting wheeled back there. I hate that part. :(

Good Luck ! I was most worried about the IV part, too. I'm hard to stick and it is a big ordeal every time I have a colonoscopy, I have them frequently due to Crohns.

Anyway, my IV turned out to be no big deal..the surgery center gave me a little stinging numbing shot when they found a vein..and it was a breeze. I hope yours turns out the same !

I'm totally with you- feels like nothing has happened at all now. Bandster hell is not fun! My 1st follow up appt is Thursday the 31st- I'm going to ask if he will give me even a little fill since I have nothing at all, but he may wait til 4 wks post-op.

Let me know how your fill goes. I have mine in a few weeks and I'm nervous!

I'm starting to feel restriction in the morning... Otherwise nothing. I get full easily but don't stay full for more than 2 or 3 hours.

Why would he talk bad to you? You have accomplished a lot to get this far.

He was concerned about me getting the lapband because of how far I live from my dr's office (like 2.5 hrs). He was afraid that I wouldn't keep up with my appts and such...but I'm very determined to prove him wrong...lol. I knw I haven't done as well as I need to getting my Water in has.been TOUGH!

Saw the doc this am for 2 wk postoperative visit. I was down 22 lbs from the preop visit 4 wks ago and down 9 lbs since surgery. I really wanted a fill but he says 1 month out in order to be fully healed. So, bandster hell for at least 2 more weeks. I've come this far. Can't screw up now.

From my last visit I'm down 16 lbs and 13 since my surgery on May 11th. I go back in 3 weeks where we will talk about a fill. Oh and I have the okay to start on my next phase......yipppeeeee. Tammy

I'm surprised neither of you got a fill, but if you are losing without it, that's great. I really hope my doctor gives me one so I won't get hungry as often.

Well as I posted in May Blooming Bandsters I spent 6 hrs in hospital yesterday due to severe Constipation and bowel obstruction. One of the most painful and worst things I have gone through. I have had lots of Water, and Miralax today. Just waiting for the rest of it to pass.. Wish it wasn't so painful.

I haven't been eating but I know I probably should :/ all I feel like is liquids right now

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
