You are right...at least its not next week! I read on one of these posts that you have to take everything off...I wonder what happens in that case.

Also - just wondering if loosing weight quickly will wreck havoc on TOM? Hadn't thought about that til now.

Ummm...it's surgery people! Did you think they did it with you fully clothed? :) Just remember everyone there does this all the time...you don't have anything they haven't seen before! I know it's embarasing for us but they do cover us up as much as possible to protect our dignity! When I had my EKG today I was very impressed with the way the nurse was able to keep my modesty intact while she applied everything.

I've had 3 babies. I don't care who sees my "business" as long as it doesn't involve me taking home anymore bundles of joy.

Scorpiolady- lol

Ready- you aren't walking around naked. They have you get u dressed and in a gown, when they wheel you back they put you to sleep BEFORE they undress you. Even then, you have sterile drapes over your upper and lower parts so no one sees anything. The sterile drapes help the doctors stay sterile. The only person who will really see you is the person who preps you, and even then it's quick. Other people may be in there but they are focused on their job. So unless you have something cool like a really weird tattoo or a third arm your anatomy isn't interesting to them. Yay. Try not to get freaked out by it.

I was banded yesterday. I had to put those disposable knickers on and the anaesthetist loosend my gown while I was awake.. The knickers were on throughout surgery as there was iodine staining all round the waistband.

My period was last week and I did swell a little.

I got weighed when I had my gown on for surgery. They weren't bothered about how much I'd lost, just that I'd eaten less to reduce liver.

Home this morning and have come to bed in last hour with 2 hot Water bottles. Not that I'm in any pain but they feel nice on shoulder and stomach:)

I have always been scared to do waxing there...so shy!

My esthetician has a studio attached to her house. She's quick, professional, and talks the whole time about other things. It helps. She didn't even bat an eye at my size.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
