Looks Like I Have A Bulge Where My Port Is?

Since surgery, I look like I have a bulge near the port area. I asked about this before having surgery and they told me I may see a slight bulge after loosing alot of weight, but that it shouldn't be that noticable. So far I have only lost 30#, but it looks like the side where my port is, is much larger than the other side and now since I just a a really small fill, I notice it even more so. Has this happened to anyone? And does it go away somewhat after you lose most of the weight? Just curious.

Very Normal, I can even feel mine, Maybe it was sticked closer to my skin! Now I rub it all the time!! LOL Kinda like rubbing a Buddah belly for good luck

I can also feel my port under my skin and find myself rubbing it as well...lol. And it does bulge somewhat. I think it is something some of us have to deal with as my Dr. is not concerned about it and he has no trouble accessing it whatsoever.

I can feel my port but still can't see it really. I don't know why it would appear more noticeable after a fill unless it's a bit swollen from the needle stick? Because the liquid would go down the tube into the band. I believe the port would actually be more noticeable as you lose weight, since there is less fat on top. I don't know if there's a way to minimize it or not!

Mine wasn't too noticeable when I weighed 250 - but it looks like an alien now. I'm afraid people can see it thru my clothes (even tho my husband assures me you can't!). It's gotten much bigger the more weight I lose. It's very normal!

Yikes - I never thought about anyone being able to see it...that's got to be weird to feel it. I'm afraid that I might get eked out.

This is VERY normal. I had the same thing.

I host a monthly lapband coffee group and several of our "bandsters" had the same issue. It usually settles down.
