Please don't worry about being stuck. I have had 3 stuck episodes in over a year and a half and were because I did'nt learn from past experiences. I can't eat raw carrots by themselves after hitting restriction; you'd think I'd have learned. Also cheap white bread is a no but higher quality stuff is fine. My doctor wants me to be able to eat all foods at restriction. Some people keep their bands to tight which leads to more stuck episodes.

I need to exercise too. I need motivation maybe energy too. If I lose some weight maybe I'll have more energy.

Hi TW42,

I was banded on Friday the 2nd. doing ok, feels like i did 1000 sits-up... if you have any last minute question let me know.

You can do! Think positive. You have to believe in yourself if nothing else. It is all about will power. Life can only get better from here... Once you start loosing the weight you will know you can do it and the motivation will come and you will have the energy to get up an exercise. That was the hardest thing for me. :D

Surgery postponed, maybe couple weeks until surgicenter gets back in network.

Please pray that it is soon.

I was concerned about exercise as well, but I have discovered this week that losing almost 12 lbs and consuming protein instead of cheese curls and chocolate really makes a difference. I was banded last Monday and I feel fantastic, more energy that I can remember having in a long time! Hope you get rescheduled soon!

Sorry to hear about your reschedule :(

im sure you will do well. its a big decision and you have thought it all through.. all the best for your big day.

I highly recommend lap swimming with a water proof MP3 player. Makes time go by soooooo much faster. Also water aerobics is great for heavier people. It is really good on your joints and you can work out a lot longer in the water than you can on land. Ask the instructor ways to make each move harder once you are physically able. I always thought WA was for older people. There are days I leave there and I really feel it the next day. It's all about how much effort you put in. I have lost 145 pounds with water workouts being my main exercise. At first I had a bad knee problem (for which I was getting injections) and could barely walk so swimming was my only option. As I lost weight and my knee felt better I started adding in the elliptical and walking at the high school track in good weather.
