Well took my bandages off today and was better than I expected, I have one that is kind of puckered, buy not worried about it, the port one impressed me, looks pretty smooth already. Back to work tomorrow so my doc suggested making a ladder of bandages to keep them from fiction. Hope all is well!

We're officially bandsters! Hi Terri, glad you're doing good! I'm good, have been up walking, only slight pain in left shoulder. They've given me morphine for pain but boy does it knock me out, have slept on and off most of the day. I was surprised that I had a hiatal hernia he repaired. But doing good, glad its over!

I had surgery on March 20, and am on full liquids now. I don't have any fill yet but I feel pretty restricted--from swelling I guess. So excited to see how much of this weight I can get rid of.

Start weight: 255

Goal weight: 150

Okay........time for me jump in here. I have viewed posts off and on but remained in the background. My surgery was March 23rd. Pretty sore, but excited to move forward on this journey.

Steph how are you doing?

I am doing well :) as of day three post op, I went from slight pain to just soreness. Still having gas pains, even though I've been moving a lot. I have been using a heating pad and taking gas chewables, but not sure if they've actually helped.

am able to get a Protein Shake, Soups, and sf pudding down. Still struggling to hit 64+oz Water.< /p>

That's great Steph, hope u continue to do well. I'm having a hard time with getting a lot of Water down too. Haven't had the horrible gas pains everyone talks about. Yay! Take it easy, we'll be out of this phase before long. Deb

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
