1st Lapband Fill.....don't Know If I Ever Want Another

So today was my follow up after being banded for four weeks. The good news is I've lost 11.8 lbs. YAH ME! Now on to the fill she had so much trouble finding my port that I had to go to the x-ray and come to find out my port is tilted, lucky me. Pain, pain and more pain. I'm trying not to be discouraged as everything so far has gone well and I've been blessed. But I truly hope I don't ever have to go through that again. I already had 2cc's in my band and I now have four so I'm back on liquids for two days then mushies for another two days back to solids on Sunday. I know I'm swollen after all the pushing, needle in and out so I will be taking it easy for the next week or so.

The fills get easer my first was done by the Dr and was the worse one, all others have been by the nurse and they are usually better as they do more. Now that they know where your port is sure it will be better. Good luck to you.

Fills do get easier as you go along. My first one had to be done under xray at the hosptial because he just couldn't do the fill even under ultrasound but after that I was able to get them done in the surgeons office and it only takes a couple of minutes if that much.

Thank you all for putting me more at ease.

I had the same exact problem and the dr. finally got it, but do you still feel hungry after the fill? I'm just not sure if the doctor filled mine, even tho she said she did lol im so confused about how i'm supposed to feel after having it done.
