How long have you had your lapband? It is always okay to call the Dr office!! Are you able to eat/drink? Did you eat/drink something that got stuck? Five days is a long time to be in pain. Good luck, Karen

Banded on 11-14

I can drink fine and eat, I'm just eating pudding and yogurt

it can take up to two weeks for the gain pain to go away. also, pain in some areas is normal because you are in the healing process. however if you are ever in doubt you should call your doctor.. i had to go every two weeks the first 8 weeks of surgery..

I went for two week post op visit last week and he said he want see me till 3mths

3 months? I was told that I will be going once/month for the first year. My surgery is scheduled for tomorow.

i was band Aug 11, 2011 i see my Dr once a month

just proves each doctors is different. i think its better to see a doctor once a month because it helps keep you accountable.

I, also, saw my surgeon once a month for a year. He still kept me on once month until I hit my goal, now, I see him about every 2-3 months because I am on maintenance. As I get more used to it, I will probably be cut back even more. But definitely call your surgeon's offcie , if you have questions!
