What Happens If You Have The Flu With The Lap Band?

This question just came to mind. What would happen if you were continually throwing up with the flu?

You could cause your band to slip. If you have the flu, the best thing to do is go get completely unfilled until you are better.

I agree, I overheard my surgeon telling a teacher that if a stomach virus was running through her school, to come and get an unfill for precautionary purposes! I did have a stomach virus, and ended up with a slip in October. Take care!

Wow, that seems so drastric, but sounds like a good idea. My surgeons office said "well, if you have the flu, you have the flu". So I never thought anything else about it. I'd HATE for the band to slip though. Thanks for posting this topic!
