I was banded in July and I do find my hair thinning. It actually comes out when I shampoo my hair! Scary.....but I started taking Biotin two times a day. This seems to have helped. Not coming out as much. I try to eat alot of protein but I just think it is the losing weight and dieting in general that makes this happen. Also could be the anesthesia I'm told. Try Biotin it seems to help.

i am taking Biotin too. my hair is starting to thin now i was banded in August. i have been told this is totally normal and should get better in a few months. I always make sure my protein intake is high everyday. i also bought some shampoo for thining hair it seems to help

I've heard that pre natal vitamins work

I take 2000mg of biotin a day. I make sure my protein is good as well, but I notice when I was on a high protein diet before the band, that if I stressed about loosing my hair, it came out regardless. So I have not stressed this time, and I am doing good! Pre natals do work good. Also, use keratin based hair products.

I started the biotin as soon as I was able to get them down as I was afraid of such .. and am sure to keep the protein up .. knock on wood never had an issue..
