Have you tired Dole's Real fruit popsicles? They are little high in sugar than sugar-free popsicles but are more tasty than sugar-free. Plus they count as fluids too! I've gotten them at Walmart in the freezer section. Just check the nutrition label.

Hopefully, you can move onto to full liquids soon and be able to eat thinned oatmeal or grits.

Good luck!

Heat up some V-8, puree some salsa in the food processor or blender and mix it in. It is a very tasty and satisfying Soup during the liquid stage.

I also made some of the old diet cabbage Soup - chicken or veggie broth, a can of pureed tomatoes and cabbage sliced thinly. Cooked it til the cabbage was tender. Then gave it a whizz with my stick blender. I made it sweet and sour by adding some vinegar and splenda.

Depends on what your protocol is. If it's Clear Liquids you need, then you can try Syntrax Protein shakes...Fuzzy Peach or Roadside Lemonade are my favourites. You can also try Isopure which has 40g of Protein per bottle...though 4 days after surgery it would probably take you all day to get through the 20 ounces.

Water...always a good option and weak herbal teas. An Crystal Light...and that's about all I can think of for now.

I'm four days post op also on full liquids, and Dr said I could have yogurt, pudding, egg drop Soup

But I haven't been hungry since surgery, and it still feels like I could eat anything if I tried too,

you can have canned Soup but strain it, Lipton cup of soup cream of chicken is good, and you add a little more Water to keep it thin. But this helped take away the hunger sum. Protein Shakes sipped on also helped.

Can you drink Milk or Skim Milk ? Its a thought.

I am also 4 days post op. Today was my first hungry day. I had some diet Jello and a Protein shake. I just joined this group for support. I don't know anyone with the Lapband but I do know multiple people who failed with gastric bypass.

I look forward to getting to know everyone.

Welcome Aboard !

Again try some Soups but strain them.

Pop cycles S.F. Or fruit cycles help.

Iliked Lipton cup of Soup Cream of chicken.

Good tastes, and you make it how you want it.

It helped kill the emptiness.

Your Protein shakes should help the Hunger also.

Good Luck, Shirley.biggrin.png

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
