  1. Same here...I eat fat-free refired Beans with melted cheese, crackers (wheat ritz) and baby food. you can also try some soft scrambled eggs...if you can tolerate them. Stick to soft, non-scicy soups are you best bet. I also had sweet potatoes with a little butter in my microwave. You can slow roast different veggies to over cook them as an alternative to green beans. Look on the bright side...you'll be able to eat real meat soon!
  2.    MrsRobinson reacted to a post in a topic: 4 days post op and tired of broth HELP!!!
  3. Have you tired Dole's Real fruit popsicles? They are little high in sugar than sugar-free popsicles but are more tasty than sugar-free. Plus they count as fluids too! I've gotten them at Walmart in the freezer section. Just check the nutrition label. Hopefully, you can move onto to full liquids soon and be able to eat thinned oatmeal or grits. Good luck!
  4. Hi! I had my surgery on May 20th. I started out slow with my food. Eating small bites to see if I could tolerated the food. I did make sure I was getting enough fluids in each day. I lived off Soup, cottage cheese, and dole fruit popsicles my 1st and 2nd week post-op. I was so glad to eat refried Beans and shredded cheese in my 3rd week! Just take it slow and chew, chew, chew. My surgeon wanted to wait for my first fill because I was doing so well with my weight loss and diet. I see my surgeon on October 12 for my 1st fill. I am so excited!! I told my surgeon this is the most weight I've lost and have kept it off the longest in my entire life! He even gave me a hug.
  5. I was banded on the 20th and this is my 1st time in this group. So far I have lost 30 pounds and am scheduled for my 1st fill on October 12. Have had to go through my closet and size all my clothes. I was wearing a 24 women's prior to banding but am happy to say those clothes are too baggy on me now. I'll soon be in a 22 women's but am not buying any new clothes just yet.
