Hello all! Has anyone out there gotten a tummy tuck approved by insurance? If so, how? And how long did you wait after your lap band? Thanks!

I haven't tried, but my best friend got her tummy tuck approved through tricare. She was getting rashes from it and would go to her pcm every time it happened so that is was documented. Finally her pcm put in the referral for the plastic surgeon. He then submitted for the procedure and she was approved.

One of the nurses I work with had a tummy tuck done because she was getting yeast infections underneath the flap of her excess skin due to rubbing. They paid for it, for that reason.
