Looking for someone to share this adventure with...

Hello everyone! I am interested in getting to know some new friends who are just starting out on this journey of being banded. Who else out there needs some support of someone else going through the same thing that they are? Let's do this together!

It's great to meet you! I have also only shared my decision with my closest friends and family. I am really excited about this new adventure but I am just starting out. I don't have my first visit until nov 1. But when talking with my insurance the whole thing is covered 100%. So I am very hopeful to get his show on the road! I am a 36 year old mom of two, wife and a 1st/2nd grade teacher who lives in Hesperia ca. Where are you from and what's your story. You can friend me on Facebook if interested

You gals both have surgeons with excellent reputations. That's most of it. You don't have to

do anything, just show up. Recovery is easy, you'll probably have a little sore throat from the

intubation device, but that goes away soon. Don't forget to take your slippers and PJs,

those hospital gowns are pretty revealing. Good luck, in a year you'll just be a shadow of

your former self.

Thanks! How was your recovery Corrigan?

Well! I am a 40 yr. old wife/mother of 2. ages 13 and 9. And live in Millbrook, Alabama (that is about 15 min. out of Montgomery) I am a school bus driver.

And so ready for a change in my life. Good luck!

My BMI is 32.6 and I am looking to have the lap band surgery. I have located a surgeon locally. I am going to a seminar on Oct 27, 2011 & I will start my journey from there. I know I will be self pay. I am a Registered Nurse and have done intensive research and I have decided this is the best option for me.

I had my surgery on Monday the day after my birthday and I had a hernia repaired. I just ate some real food today which was some egg whites, but I constantly drink all day but I have to force myself to eat. Well I hope I will talk to someone soon. I need all the support I can get.

I cantnfigure out how to have a personal conversation with you.

Hi! I'm Tracy and 36 y/o. My date is Fri! 10/28! I'm excited and nervous!

The pre op diet is hard for the first couple of days but you can make it. I lost 8 pounds but on my birthday which was the day before my surgery, I did treat myself to a healthy meal from Red Lobster. I had my surgery on the 17th and is still sore. I also had a hernia repaired so most of the pain is coming from that. But everything will be okay just keep your mind set on a goal.

I got banded almost a week ago and still in a little pain because I got a hernia repaired also. So how much weight have you lost?

Kim
