I completely understand. My husband and I both love to eat and do it together. He was banded today and I will be banded next Monday. We wear wedding bands and now we will both have matching bands around our stomachs....that's what I call love lol. I couldn't do it without him and I am so happy to go on this journey with him. He is my number 1 supporter. Good luck to you guys too.

Well in less then 12 hours I will be in surgery! Down 16 pounds with the pre-surgery diet. Now I am ready to get the next chapter in my life started. Unfortunatley everyone around me is coming down with the flu! I just hope I got the right flu shot and don't come down with it.

Good luck everyone!

Your DR didnt give you one? Well I am got a juicers so that should help with the making some Soups and juices for the 10 liquid diet. Then I have low fat putting and yogurt as well as sugar free Jello. My Dr aslo encouraged me to do a lot of walking....

Good luck!

I got my pre op appointment set up for thursday the 8th if all goes well we are all set to do the surgery on December 19th a lot of people are asking why Iam doing it just days before Christmas I say because that the soonest I can get it done and NO I don't mind missing out on all the Christmas goodies because where I work we do a 12 days of Christmas thing where for 12 days before school is out for the winter break we all sign up to bring our favorite holiday treat to share with everyone so after 12 days of goodies I will not only need but seriously want the lapband and a good excuse to not have to indulge further in holiday mayhem what does 1 Christmas matter in the whole of my life if every Christmas after will be even better because I will be happier and healthier. So no I don't mind one bit missing out on a few goodies on Christmas day in exchange forbeing comfortable in my own skin

I'm being banded on the 19th as well. I have my pre-anesthesia phone interview this Friday, and my pre-op appointment the following Wednesday. I was initially set for the 15th, but I'll make do with the 19th 001_tt2.gif Either way, it's my Christmas present to myself, so I'll take missing out on whatever I have to at dinner on Christmas!

Hello all, i was banded on 12/2 and also had a hernia repair at the same time. I lost 10 lbs on the pre diet, and have lost 3 lbs since surgery. I also still have a large amount of gas, it seems to just never go away completely. I have had very little pain but have no stamina! I get wore out very quickly. I went back to my office job on wednesday, just half days, but if I get up and walk around too much i get shaky and need to sit down asap. Not sure if this is caused by the lack of calories or from the surgery? Any one else experience this? I started out on surgery day at 252, and currently at 247, my goal is 175 for now. I am 5'4" tall.

What is everyone eating? I am sick of the sweet Protein Drinks, but don't know what else to eat. Please give me some suggestions.

I had my lap band/hernia repair surgery 12/6. I was on a clear liquid diet till today, but I got super hungry yesterday so I started my pureed food last nite. Can you eat pureed foods? I pureed chicken & it turned into a pate type--not too bad. hope this helps!

One week from now my surgery will be all done. I am getting excited. This pre-op diet is going pretty well. I started on Monday and have done very well. I had a little salad tonight which isn't on the pre-op diet but, I figured it couldn't hurt. I am really trying to focus on what and how my life is going to change after this. Eating habits and everything. It is going to be a big change but, I am ready for it.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
