Has anyone tried Visalus Protien shakes?

Recommended Posts

has anyone tried the Visalus protien shakes. I have been taking them for a bout a month and they are REALLY good. Mixed with soy milk and 1tsp coffee and ice tastes just like a frappacino from starbucks. I drank them twice a day for the 2 weeks before my suregery and lost 8lbs and then have been drinking them - much smaller portions though- since my surgery last week and I've lost another 8 lbs since my surgery.

I did. It is the most disgusting thing I have ever drank. So bland and bitter I don't know how anyone would have the nerve to even take them.

Yes it is MLM and it's not that it's bad that it is an MLM business, but if you're going to be in that kind of business your products should be top notch and easy to take. First the shakes, with or without flavors, they're HORRIBLE! Another thing are the products to take for the Transformation pack. You have to take 10 separate products! I don't mind taking a few but I'm not a pill popper or human disposal for products. Definately NOT worth the money nor the results you probably get out of it.

me too. I'm not crazy about them when I have mixed them with Water, yogurt or skim milk, but the key for me is mixing it with soy milk - very vanilla or chocolate are my favorites. They are really good that way!

I use the almond milk or a fruited yogurt and just a little ice to make them cold.

Yes, they are AWESOME!!!!!

Try 8 Oz Almond Milk,

2 Scoops of Body By Vi powder

1 teaspoon of cinnamon

1 Tablespoon of Honey

6 ice cubes and blend

SNICKERDOODLE...is it so good...no aftertaste or grit...this is my 2'nd week on them.

Also, the BUTTERFINGER

8 Oz Almond Milk

2 Teaspoons of Instant sugar free butterscotch pudding mix (dry)

1 Tablesspoon of Reduced Fat Peanut Butter

6 ice cubes

It is really the only Protein shake I have found that I like....I did the muscle milk that first two weeks post op and now if I even see in in the isle at Wal-mart I want to puke!!! Ha Ha

The girl I bought it from gave me 5 or 6 pages of recipes....I have liked all that I have tried so far.

Good Luck!!

Any shake over the counter can be good if you mix up all the recipes mentioned. Drink Visalus straight wit milk without anything and it's the most disgusting thing on the market. Visalus products is basically overpriced hype. There's really substance to their claim.

I'm just saying I like them. If you don't that is OK. For me it is the only one I have tried that I liked. Believe me, when your starting weight was 357 you have tried your share of shakes over the years. LOL

Good luck!

I tried them and they do taste good but IMO, they don't have enough Protein in them for a Lap Band patient. My other problem with them is they are soy protein. I have thyroid problems and I was told by my doctors to steer clear of soy and use whey protein instead.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
