  3. I too think this is a great idea. I kind of did the same thing..when I went for my first LB seminar at True Results in Richardson TX, I was so excited I thought why wait....I went ahead and started researching and started chew, chew, chewing....that is still the hardest thing for me and I am approaching two years out!!! I started out at 357 in January 2000 after my mom passed away. I seen what the weight, diabetis and such had done to her. I tried a little of everything, Atkins, South Beach, Weight Watchers, etc etc. I made it down to 278, which is great...it just took a long time...In February of 2010 i went to seminar for True Results and the Lap Band. I have lost another 90 lbs with the band. I love it. I look forward to hearing about your success as we all continue to take this wonderful journey called life. God Bless! Stagegirl

  5. I have had 2 C sections.....the Lap Band procedure for me was nothing compared. I was shopping the next day and hit the road for a conference 4 days later.
  6. I used Dr. Fox at True Results in Richardson and love him. His staff is awesome too. Good Luck!!!
  7. I did feel hunger right from the very start. You have such a wonderful story... I use Dr. Fox too and love him love him love him. He is strict! All the folks at TR will tell you he is the most strict with his patients but he also has the best success rate. I have lost a total of 178 in the past 11 and a half years. 98 since my LB sugery in April of 2010. Keep moving....I wear a pedometer everyday and try to get 10 to 12 thousand steps per day...ask DR. Fox how many he gets.... it's like a competetion...he never beats me...ha ha....good luck and keep us posted.... I felt no physical hunger immediately post op, I often times felt really full from nothing or just a few sips of Fluid. I think it was the swelling for me. I imagine the last thing the body is worried about is food while its still recovering from the trauma of surgery. But indeed mental hunger returned first especially once I moved into the mushy phase- my mind wanted to CHEW!haha
  8. I'm just saying I like them. If you don't that is OK. For me it is the only one I have tried that I liked. Believe me, when your starting weight was 357 you have tried your share of shakes over the years. LOL Good luck! Stagegirl name='Frank166' timestamp='1316830687' post='1666429'] Any shake over the counter can be good if you mix up all the recipes mentioned. Drink Visalus straight wit milk without anything and it's the most disgusting thing on the market. Visalus products is basically overpriced hype. There's really substance to their claim.
  9. I know what you are talking about.....I have lost a total of 178 pounds.....I have been working the past 11 and a half years to regain my health.......99 of that came off since Spring of 2010 with the band. I am one half the size I used to be. People keep telling me I need to stop loosing weight but i don't see it. Last week I was in a conference room alone and walked up to the grease board and just marked how wide I thought I was. In my mind I am about 12"-14" wider than I actually am. I trust the mind will eventually catch up. Good Luck! Stagegirl
  10. Yes, they are AWESOME!!!!! Try 8 Oz Almond Milk, 2 Scoops of Body By Vi powder 1 teaspoon of cinnamon 1 Tablespoon of Honey 6 ice cubes and blend SNICKERDOODLE...is it so good...no aftertaste or grit...this is my 2'nd week on them. Also, the BUTTERFINGER 8 Oz Almond Milk 2 Teaspoons of Instant sugar free butterscotch pudding mix (dry) 1 Tablesspoon of Reduced Fat Peanut Butter 6 ice cubes It is really the only Protein shake I have found that I like....I did the muscle milk that first two weeks post op and now if I even see in in the isle at Wal-mart I want to puke!!! Ha Ha The girl I bought it from gave me 5 or 6 pages of recipes....I have liked all that I have tried so far. Good Luck!! Stagegirl
  11. I am having a bout of something that is worring me. I know i eat to fast...almost 2 years and still struggle, especially when I am with people and talking. The past few days nothing will go down. This morning my son is in from medical school and my husband wanted to fix Breakfast. I had 3 small bites of scrambled egg, two small bites of biscuit w/ gravy, one bite of bacon that I chewed up and spit out (TMI....I know) and drank about 3 ounces of pineapple juice. I have felt stuck ever since. My upper stomach hurts, I have this lump feeling in my throat, I have thrown up about 4 times (always just small amount of liquid) and I feel like I need to burp. When I do burp it is just acid like. I know other people say when they are stuck it will take 30 minutes to an hour before it goes down. Sometimes this last all day. So, I don't know if i am stuck or something else. I am just wondering if maybe I have slipped. I have lost 98 pounds and have really done well so far. Any advice??? Stagegirl My band came out yesterday. I'm a little sad to see it go, but I WILL NOT miss the discomfort or reflux that came with the slip. I wish I had known the slip symptoms for what they were, and not just assumed it was another change in my "restriction pattern." WIth 20/20 hindsight I should have put two and two together, but I just didn't. At least it was caught before anything worse could happen, or there was permanent damage to my esophagus.
  12. I love the Okios FF Greek Yo too. It is the best......i love the Blueberry, fruit on the bottom. Mmmmmmmm
  13. Has anyone tried "Body By Vi" shakes? I am hearing great things about them. I have a friend who is a 2'nd year medical student and she just started taking them. Just wondering if any of you have tried them? I placed an order today....I hope it is something I like because I can't seem to get enough Protein and hate everything else I have tried. Stagegirl
  14. 96 pounds gone.....I love that!!!!! Shopping in regular sizes Crossing legs Walking by a mirror or glass door and realizing that is me My life not revolving around food anymore Shopping in regular sizes Not feeling self conscious in a crowd People telling me how young I look Shopping in regular sizes Shopping Shopping Shopping I have many years to make up for....I can remember going to Disney years ago and going shopping and could not find anything that looked good on me in the 4X or 5X's. I love going in and trying on clothes....it's good exercise too! Ha Ha
