Banded in May 2006

I was banded in May 2006 at a weight of 515 lb. I lost down to 413 pounds after 1 year and then completely lost control and have slowly gained almost all of it back. I had my band completely unfilled about 2 years ago and my question is...is there any reason I can't get a fill and start over now?

I would suggest going to the doctor and having a full check up. Have blood work done, endoscope check, upper GI etc to make sure the band is still in a good state and then start again with small fills and work your way up.

There is no expiration date to when the band will stop working for you if you take some time off, so hop back on the band wagon we are always welcoming to new comers and people who simply fell off for a while :)

I see no reason why you cannot start the journey over. Good luck to you.

Sure thing- go to your doc and get a checkup and start the journey Good for you~:D

heck yeah, go back in and get your fill...i had a complete unfil in 2009 and didn't get fills again till this year, and let me tell you my band is working better than when it was brand new! but like someone else said, go get a complete physical with blood work first...but welcome back! we can do this!!!
