Chew and Spit?

So tonight I decided to chew and spit a piece of bread. It's been a month since I've had any type of bread and it felt so good to just chew it and feel the texture. Anyone else ever chew and spit?

lol! I can so see me doing this when I finally start the process before/after banding liquid phases. I understand where some are saying it can be an unhealthy eating habit, however......if I'm end up being one who won't be able to down bread, there may be SOME times that I just want that taste of my mama's yeast rolls in my mouth and I may just have to chew a bite or two. No harm done. :D

It is so much about flavor for me as well! That is why on my pre-op diet of liquids when I had broth I would add different seasonings to it. Now that I'm on liquids when I blend or have creamy Soups if they don't have enough flavor I add it in! I can see how making this a habit would suck, but for now licking or chewing and spitting might just help sometimes the insanity! ;)

Glad to know that I'm not alone on the chew & spit stuff. I was banded a week ago and just craved flavor. I've only don't this twice but with a few doritos. I just suck all the flavor and spit. Over 4th of July I licked the season off a grilled brat. I'm not hungry just really bored of clear liquid diet. t h
