Hey all!
Six days post-op and still excited. I'm getting a bit scared though. I have not been able to get more than 24 grams of Protein in since the surgery. I tried a protein shake 2 days ago with peanut butter hoping to soup the amount up but ended up with horrible chest pain for the rest of the day. Figured it was the peanut butter so yesterday I just went with a ready made EAS Carbcontrol Protein shake yesterday and ended up with chest pain pretty much all day but thought it might have been the Cream of Broccoli soup (yes blended). Today I had 6 oz of the same shake I had yesterday and I'm dying of the chest pain again. I haven't been able to drink more than 5 cups of anything - soup, broth, shake. So needless to say I have not been getting hardly any water due to the feeling I need calories and protien more. Any suggestions? I so hope this won't last forever. I so want this to work. I have an ice pack on my belly and a heating pad on my chest. This seems to be helping a tad.
HELP!!
