Good luck today Meg!!!! I'm 7 days....ehhh well I guess cause it's 5am 8 days post op but I feel great! I don't know where my energy all day comes from since I'm barely eating but I've lost 12lbs in these 7 days. Maybe being lighter or because I take my B12 but I feel motivated and terrific. I have my routine of Protein Shake at Breakfast, usually Soup at lunch and/or dinner, Jello 7pm dessert. I take a water bottle with me ALL day and take sips. Best of luck to all and wishing everyone happy success on their journey!!!

I had a 1-week Optifast diet and then a liquid diet since getting the band on Monday. I weighed myself this morning and I'd lost 6.4kg since starting the pre-op diet. That's 14.08 pounds. I'm impressed!

Good Morning all, I am BANDED!!! My date was the18th, all went well with the procedure, but the pain meds made me dizzy, nauseous and generally out of it. I ended up requesting them to stop the dilaudid, and just give me extra strenghth liquid tylenol. It took all night to get me back to normal, and then I actually felt better. Rested up all day and came home last night. I haven't had enyf pain for prescrition meds -that is amazing to me. I'm drinking my liquids-two week post op for my doc, and not having trouble. The port site is the most painful spot, keep a pillow handy to get up and down. I've been up folding laundry already today. I'm looking forward to feeling even better tomorrow. I'll check in later. Good luck on Tuesday! Did your doctor put you on a pre-op Protein diet? I am supposed to do this for 3 days prior to surgery. It has been hard because I am allowed to eat 1 meal a day, then the 2 other meals need to be Protein Powder mixed with Jello or pudding. Yuck!

My pre-op diet is 2 weeks and I can only have the 2 Protein Shakes a day and one meal a day. It has been hard but I am on day 7 so it is getting easier. I just wish my stomach matched what I am eating, lol.

Well, I am banded at 7:30 in the morning. I am supposed to be at the hospital at 6:30. I'm a little nervous, but mostly excited to get it done. I'll post on the other side. Terri

Hi all, I am four days post-op and feel prettywell. Drove to church yesterday and then attended a baby shower for the preacher in the afternoon. Today I feel even better. Have not needed even the tylenol today. Hang in there, those who are still waiting, it is so worth the temporary pain. I feel so much more in control of my health since I made the decision to research the band, and now, banded! Looking forward to seeing the scale tomorrow as the swelling is continuing to go down. Heads up to those still waiting- you will gain weight at the hospital, depending on how many fluids they give you. Just be aware and not discouraged-it's temporary. Since my initial visit to my surgeon, I have lost 13 pounds. I'm very satisfied with that. I'll check in later to see how you are all doing. HW

I had a sore on my arm that looked like a spider bite but kept getting worse. I went to urgent care last night and they said it was staph. I have antibiotics and surgery is rescheduled for 9-1.

You will do just fine. I didn't tell anyone but imediate family and don't plan to right now. Figure it is my business. And I did have a hernia fix while doing Lapband, didn't know I had it but it became my answer to the questions why I wasn't here or there or what was wrong. Worked for me and I didn't have to tell a lie which I wouldn't anyways , just wouldn't answer or change subject. Good days ahead for you I am sure. I am two weeks after surgery and doing pretty good now. Not ever hungry, which amazes me.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
