I did the same thing--just chew, chew, chew. I am now 5 months out, and I can eat anything now. But, i limit the amount of food that I eat. I have lost 53 pounds so far, so it seems to be working. I really think that it is the amount of food that we consume that is important. I do try to eat a balanced diet.

Easily chewed things - chick pea and tuna salads, peeled tomato and cucumber, mushy home made chicken burgers, fish, tinned fruit, oatmeal, yogurt, that type of thing.

salad and crutons with crab like all the time.. (I cant eat salad now, its the strangest thing),

speggetti, yogart, sherbert, jello, candies, popcycles, meatloaf and mashed potatoes, cheese curds and rootbeer floats..

3 weeks post op I was starting on soft foods. I ate tons of tuna salad, scrambled eggs, baked potato

4 weeks post op I could eat regular food. just remember to chew chew chew

cheese curds
What's a cheese curd? Is that like cottage cheese? Never heard of it. :)

cheese curds are young cheese.. cheese that isnt aged.. its rubbery and sqeeky..

I get them from the cheese factory.. but they sell them in stores here.

Plus they sell them fried at resturants
