I started my journey on November 2010 and it is such a blessing to know I'm almost there. My surgeon's office sent in my paperwork on Monday for my insurance to review, and told me to call back in two weeks. Today (3 days after)I received a call from the office telling me that my insurance approved my case. Yeeeees!!!! Super happy! I'm meeting with my surgeon on May 18th ...that day I will be scheduled for surgery.

I just read your post and I wanted to say congrats!!! That is super! I am hoping that I get a fast approval from my insurance company as well. I have my last weight in on May 10th and they said it could take anywhere from 10 to 30 days before I hear anything back from them. Really want this so bad and I'm so looking forward to being banded in June if its at all possible. What insurance did you have out of curiosity? Well good luck to ya Yinette! Thanks. I have Medicaid with Heath Plus Health Plan. It was suppose to take 2 weeks but took two days for them to approve me. Hope you get approved fast too. Good luck!
