Hey all! Just wanted to let everyone know that I am 9 days post op and feeling great about my decision to get the lapband. I am still on the liquid diet and beginning to hate it but I will hang in there. I have lost 10lbs since the surgery!! My co-workers have all noticed the change in my face and it keeps me motivated to hear such great compliments. Today when getting dressed for work, I fit into scrubs I havent been able to wear in a year!!! I was stoked and needless to say, that made my week. Good luck to eeveryone and I'll be seeing yall in the post op forum for sure!

Hey SD, just wanted to say thanks. I am so nervous but I am taking your advise and just taking it easy. I almost had a panic attack earlier but I took some deep breaths and it passed. So glad I joined this forum cause reading peoples positive Outlook and feedback beings tears to my eyes. Needless to say, I love it! Thanks again and ill def keep ya posted.

Well I am getting banded tomorrow and I am so very nervous. My anxiety is through the roof and I don't know how I'll get over this part. I have been wanting this for so long and now that the time is here, I am terrified. I'm sure things will only be worse tomorrow. I'm trying to look on the bright side but all I think about is being put under anesthesia and how much that freaks me out. Aside from that, I am starting to get things ready. Anybody have any suggestions as to what I should take with me when I check in tomorrow morning. I'm so nervous I'm not even thinking straight. Any feedback would help. Thanks.

Hello yall! I am so very excited! I have been waiting to hear from my insurance company since May and I finaly got an approval letter Saturday in the mail after a grueling appeal. So happy they overturned the original decision of denial. This is something i have been wanting for so long and i just cant believe its going to happen! Pre op on Sept 8th and surgery Sept 20th!!!! Start pre op diet Sept 6th......here we go

Hello all! I am Kiki and I am looking forward to being banded soon. It feels as though I have waited so long for this already. I just finished my last supervised diet a week ago and my Dr. s office sent out my info on Friday. I am patiently waiting for a reply back but so far nothing. I know I should just relax but I'm worried about being approved. I really have my heart set on getting banded in June. How long does this take!!!

I just read your post and I wanted to say congrats!!! That is super! I am hoping that I get a fast approval from my insurance company as well. I have my last weight in on May 10th and they said it could take anywhere from 10 to 30 days before I hear anything back from them. Really want this so bad and I'm so looking forward to being banded in June if its at all possible. What insurance did you have out of curiosity? Well good luck to ya Yinette! Hey Zoe. Thanks for the info, I have aetna also and I am hoping that they do not deny me, Do you know why they denied you in the first place?

First off, I just wanted to say good luck to everyone having surgery in May. I don't think I will be banded in May but I do have my last supervised diet for the insurance criteria on the 17th. Hopefully I will be approved and will have the surgery in June. Does anyone know how long it takes for the insurance companies to approve. I was told anywhere from 10 to 30 days.
