Got my date!!!!!!

I'm VERY excited I just found out that my surgery date is May12th :-) I'm not meeting with the Doctor until 1 week before that. Does anyone know how long your pre-op diet is? Is a week long enough?

Congratulations!!! I am currently doing my pre op diet for my surgery on May 4th.. Doctor told me to start off this week with two slim fasts and one decent meal of 500 calories or less. Then next week I am completely living on slim fasts! Hope this helps.. Oh and two days before surgery is clear liquids .

Congrats on getting your date. I too got my date today, May 20th, so you will beat me to it! LOL! My pre-op diet is 2 weeks liquids only. I'm praying I do well, I looking at those two weeks as sort of a test run before the band. They say two weeks to shrink the liver, but I guess every doc is different. Follow what your doc says though, after all he is doing the surgery! LOL!
