A couple hours post op I have a few ??s

So I did end up having surgery this morning. All went well. I do have some hunger and so far I'm only able to hold about 2-3 teaspoons of water or juice and I have to take 3 teaspoons of Tylenol with codein how am I supposed to drink all that if I feel like i want to vomit after 2 teaspoons? Anyone else have pain breathing in on the port, I'm guessing it's gas.

Take what you can when you can. The trouble breathing deeply is normal for the first couple of days but if it gets worse, call your surgeon.

I had an issue where it felt like when I tried to breathe especially laying down it felt like someone was standing on my air way... it lasted a few days and it went away...its gas i think... it hurts but it will go away... Good luck!

dont lay flat on your back for a couple days, use a recliner or prop yourself way up with pillows. and walk walk walk as much as you can it will relieve the gas pressure for a while. as for the water/protein just drink as much as you can for the first 2-3 days it will get much easier
