Just had my first super stuck with PB and vomit episode. Yuck and scary! I are a ricotta bake I have made amy times before. I had three bites and felt huge pain and stuck feelings. I tried to wait it out but then I started sliming and new what was coming next. I ran outside and coughed and it all kinda came up. I feel better now, but sore. I am scared I messed something up! How do you know if you have a slipped band? THining I will go back to liquids for 24 hrs and see how I feel after that.

Yes... you should go back to liquids. You'll know if your band has slipped because you will not be able to keep solids down and you may have reflux. You should be fine tho... I have had this happen many times and I am always worried about slipping too. Just take it easy for a day.

First of all you should go back to liquids, Second I'm going to tell you what I told a lady who was stuck yesterday. First get a tall glass of warm watter, and start slowly drinking it. Now it will either come up or push it threw, and you will feel it drop into your stomach. Even if you throw up, you have to still keep drinking until your pathway from the stomach to the pouch is clear. Could take a couple of glasses, it depends how stuck you are. Either coming up or going down, it has to be moved. Sometimes this can get painful do to the swelling, but you still have to move it. When all else fails go to a Hospital.

As far as Band Slippage. I'm no Dr. !, and I never had slippage. But I understand it is very painful.

Good Luck ! Hope you feel better. Any Questions? You can get a hold of me.

Shirley.

I finally had my first stuck episode last night, and it was as horrible as you all have described. I got my 2nd fill a few days ago and apparently I can no longer eat bread now; I felt like I was choking and then the sliming started. Tried walking around gave me the hiccups; hands over the head made me burp but it still wouldn't come out. After about 5-10 minutes I finally threw up and felt SO MUCH BETTER. Needless to say the dogs got the rest of my bread lol. I'm assuming my best best is to go on soft foods for a few days again now?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
