Are you getting in your 60 - 80 grams of Protein in a day?

I also was banded on 3/15/11 and only lost 15lbs...I know its discouraging. I quit smoking before surgury and my last day of the patch was the day after surgury - so wondering if that is the reason. I dont eat much but dont lose much.

I hit onderland today. Boy it gets harder to lose the less you have to lose. 49.5 lbs to go.

I still cant believe this is working. I am in amazement. I had tried to loose weight so ofter and usually only gained weight. Hey March Bandsters!! I was banded 3/4/11. I lost 30 pre-op and 72 since surgery, for a total of 102!! I am 14 lbs from my goal, which may be readjusted as I get closer we'll see. I just picked the top weight for my height and frame. I have never been this weight except for when I was in junior high. Crazy.

I've been going broke replacing my wardrobe but it's a fun/good problem to have!!!

I had my first fill at my 6 month appt this month, that was kind of a nice refresher on speed of eating and what to eat.

Hope everyone is doing well!

Hi everyone!! Just wanted to see how everyone is doing after a year!!! It has been a year of highs and lows for me! I know now that exercise has to be a daily part of my life because I have the slowest metabolism in the world. I also realized that I cannot lose if I drink any alcohol!!! I maintained my weight loss when I exercised but it seemed when the weekends came I couldn't loose!!! DUH!!! Well since I cut that out and changed my exercise a little (I stopped the YMCA and joined curves and do zumba) I am losing again! It's slow but I am doing it!

I hope everyone else is doing well, good luck!

Hey everyone....been a long time, just needed to see how everyone is doing. It has been a year and I have lost 100 lbs (see pic below). I wear a very loose 34 inch waist, I go to boot camp 5-6 days a week and have never felt and looked this good. It is very hard at times to be good and have slipped up quite a few times along the way. But...I just go back to the basics and remember why I did this in the 1st place. I wish everyone else much success!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
