Newly banded!! 3/03/11

Hi, my name is Carolin & I just had the "surgery" for my lapband. I have been really uncomfortable, feeling like someone kicked me in the stomach, but full and uncomfortable... Maybe too full of gas... Idk.... Any suggestions?

It's probably gas pains and overall discomfort from surgery. Try walking a bit and use Gas-X strips or chewables. Good luck and hope you feel better soon!

Hi, Carolyn. Congrats on this new lease on life. Thank you for your comments. I have also been feeling the same way. I found out that my DR puts some fill in at the time of the surgery. Warm liquids, weakened juices, gatorade, and warm tea have helped me a lot. I also use a heating pad across my abdomen, it seems to lessen the bloating and gas cramps. GOOD LUCK, hang in there!
