Amount of weight loss and expectations

I am still in process of deciding which way to go for WL surgery.

I was wondering what type of weight loss expectations I can have being completely realistic.

i am dieting now and losing weight slowly to have my surgery but w/o that taken into consideration..

How much weight did you lose 1 week following surgery, 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 2 years?

I am about 310 and 5'9". I know everyone is different just don't want to have no weight loss for 6months after surgery!

Ok the first 5 weeks I gained 5 pounds from Bandster hell hahaha but after that I slowly lost weight I was banded June 16th 2009 and as of today I am down 122 pounds.

2 week after surgery I was donw 21 pounds. It has been 7 month and 2 weeks and I am down 90 pounds. Couldn't ask for anything more!

well, i am one week post op and lost 11 lbs!

i refuse to weigh myself til satruday (it can be obsessive) and we will see what i am two weeks post-op.

:) good luck to you!

Ok I haven't been banded yet but my surgeon told me that the band would help me lose about 60% of my overweight. Which means since I'm 5'7 276lbs and my ideal weight is 150lbs (according to the BMI calculator) I'm 130lbs overweight. So I could expect to lose 78lbs. Now this is what he told me is realistic but I have been on this site for months now and I know that there are others who have lost more. I'm not expecting to lose more than the 78lbs. But I will do my best to make it at least 100lbs. Good Luck to you!
