wondering if you would share your results at 6 mos. post op?

I was hoping for some motivation. I realize that everyone is different, but I was hoping you could tell me your starting weight (or size), and your weight(orsize) at six months post op. I would really appreciate this.

Thank you!!

well i'm 6 months post op (banded may 20th) and i've lost around 53 lbs and 47 inches. i started out wearing xl/18 pants and am now down to a med/10-8. on shirts i was wearing a tight xl now i wear large. i am broad and have shoulders so i don't think that will go down much but it might.

Well, I am not quite 3 months out......

I am down 47 lbs.

I started at a size 26......now a 16 on top and 20 on the bottom.

I am a little over six months postop and 55 pounds down. I started at 232 and now at 177. I am only 5'0" so I still have a lot to lose. My goal is 130. My weightloss has slowed down a little but at least I am still losing.

I am a week away from my 6month anniversary. As of today I have lost 55lbs since I got the band on July 30th. Iv lost a total of 16.5 inches. Feel so much better!! Has been alot of hard work but so worth it!!

can you all share the secrets to your weight loss. I have lost 16 pounds in 1 month with no fill.. Need suggestions to get the weight loss moving...

Thanks

I'm 5 months post-op and have went from 240 lbs to 191 lbs. I was in a size 22 pants and now I'm in a 14. Tops were a 3X now an XL. Its a tough journey with many ups and downs, but its so worth it in the end.

I am a little over 6 months post op. I was 260 and am now 195. I've lost 65 lbs and feel great! I went from a size 22/24 to a 14/16.

Thankfully it hasn't been tough for me yet too much. I've gained a few here and there, but quickly got back in control. I do allow myself treats at times (it keeps me sane and not overindulging). I didn't own a scale, but decided to buy one two wks ago. Even though I told myself I wouldn't, I weigh every morning. I'm not obsessed with it at all, but it really helps keeps me on track. If I gain a little bit, I immediately eat better or less that day. So it's a good thing to keep on top of it.

Banded 03/09/09 Weight Day of Surgery 383. Weight on Sept 3, 2009 = 299.6 Today = 202.

Yetta2u: 16 lbs in one month is really good. That's 4lbs a week, way above the 1 to 2lbs a week average they tell us to expect. Keep following your doctor's guidelines and the weight should continue to fall off.

I think you are doing great! keep up the good work!

7 months out. I am 5'3, starting weight 232lbs, down to 166lbs. I was wearing 20/22 now in size 14 which are starting to be baggy in the butt area.

I am almost 5 months out and I have gone from 229 pounds to 166 pounds. A loss of 55 pounds post op and 8 pounds pre-op so a total loss of 63 pounds. I went from a size 18 pants to size 12 pants.

Let me say that many people have a misconception about lap band surgery being a miracle surgery and that you don't have to do anything but sit back and lose weight...WRONG!!! Your tool will only give you back whatever you put into it. I have to watch what I eat/count calories and do exercise.

Good luck to everyone on their journey!!! :)
