pain in port incision

I am 13 days post op and I keep having pain where my port incision is. The incision is pretty much healed. It''s more like an inside pain. Is this common? When does it go away?

Mine was tender at the start and has slowly gotten to the point four months later that it is without any type of soreness or tenderness. I am told that the port site is takes the longest to heal due to the port being sutured to the abdominal wall and we use our abdominal muscles frequently so the healing is a tad bit slower. Everyone heals at different speed.:o

Hi, Just be careful the pain does not get worse. I had some fluid ooze out of my incision site. And the pain progressively got worse, until I could not even bend over to put my shoes on. It turned out it was an infection right under the port. After 10 days on antibiotics and 10 days on NSAIDS, it went away, and I am feeling better. Just wished I had not waited so long until I went to the doctors.
