frustrated and no one to talk to :(

I was banded on 07/01 and everything has been going great until recently. I am down 55 which is great but the last couple weeks I haven't been getting that full feeling, I stopped losing weight and things are getting stuck.. somedays I am able to eat more than I should but the next day the if I eat the same thing it will get stuck, I thought maybe I wasn't paying attention and not chewing but its been with everything even soup ! I feel like my dr doesn't listen to me he just comes in fills and leaves I am so frustrated and just need some options... thanks

Sounds like you need a fill despite the stuck episodes. Our bands can be tight one day and not the next. We can eat something one day and it will get stuck the next and fine the day after that. Just something we have to deal with.

Also, change your expectation of 'full'. Eat your allotted amount of food...then wait. I know few people who can go 4-5 hours without feeling hungry. A more reasonable expectation is to go 2.5 hrs, eat a small 'snack' of Protein (hard boiled egg, Protein Drink, or 1-2 oz of protein), wait another 2.5 hrs and then have your meal. If you can do that, then you're good. If you can't, you might need a fill.

.

I agree. Sounds like you are in need of a fill. Good luck sweetie.

Thanks... I really thought i needed to be unfilled ! I thought that when you stop losing weight its a sign that your too full.. i will call my dr today and try and get in... thanks again for your response means alot

hi!

i could have wrote this post. i was banded 7/1 and have lost 54 lbs! i can't complain but i feel the same exact way you do... sometimes i have to stop myself from eating more than i think i should and other days, i can take 2 bites of something and get stuck.

i even feel the same way about my dr appts. i try to voice my concerns so i can get some feedback and they're like 'you're doing great! can you lift up your shirt?'. haha!

i go for a fill next week... good luck to you!

Most of the time I don't feel full until an hour or more after eating.
