  1. Almost 5 yrs post op, now I have lots of pain in/around my port. Nearly any type food brings it on. Even water. Coffee doesn't. I don't get fills anymore bc I wasn't losing weight. Has anyone else experienced this?
  2. Well Dr. didn't specify and I should have asked. One time early into my banding I asked him about liquifying lima bean soup and he said it would be ok, but I simply forgot to ask this time and he is out of town. I wouldn't bother him on the weekend anyway.
  3. Ditto on Shady2121. My dr says 48 hrs of liquids. All in all an easy process. My port scar healed over so well that he says he needs to tattoo it so he can find the port easy, LOL.
  4. My Dr says liquids only for 48 hrs after a fill. My question is...is it ok to liquify vegetable soup and drink it? Or have Cream of Wheat liquified with milk to make it drinkable? Or is that pushing the 'liquid' limit? Broth's just don't cut it. Lol
  5. I think I've narrowed down my leg cramping thanks to u guys here. After retracing yesty I remember not getting in enough water. Some days nothing wants to go down easy even water it seems. Thanks for your replies.
  6. I'm up late tonight because my leg cramps are bad. In my calf. I just ate 1/2 a banana which sometimes helps. Anyone else have that problem? My Dr says my potassium level is very good and try taking magnesium supplements which I am. Still cramping. I take a multi vit, b complex, calcium, and magnesium.
  7. I am aware that I am not supposed to take calcium WITH my multivitamins, but I wonder how far apart can I take them?
  8. Is it the calcium citrate? Hard to believe I can't find it at the regular stores, not just specialty stores.
  9. Really good chili bean recipe's, can't wait to try them. Thanks loads.
  10. Yeah...any good chili recipes u want to share? The thicker the better.
  11. Most of the time I don't feel full until an hour or more after eating.
  12. Where do u get chewy calcium citrate? I have checked Wal Mart, Walgreen, CVS, Costco and grocery stores with no luck. They all carry calcium carbonate only.
  13. Lunch: Today I had egg salad and cooked vegetablesYesty I had tuna salad and 1/2 mashed banana Tomorrow I plan on leftover fish fillets and vegetables. I keep a deli roasted chicken (Costco) on hand. Refried beans w/salsa and a sprinkle of LF cheese and applesauce. Smoked oysters (rinse off oil) mashed yams Salmon and mashed cauliflower w spray butter
  14. I would bite the bullet and go for it. What can it hurt? Your Dr will be glad u did I think. And he is there to help and not criticize, or make u feel bad. Do it! Good luck and come back and let us know.
  15. I was banded Oct 6th and I haven't had anything get stuck yet. I dread that day. But I still chew until food is mushy or mash up my food really well before I eat.
