Need Lap Band Buddy / Mentor Looking for a buddy....

Hi...My name is Dee. I'm 42 and live in Texas. I am getting banded on Tuesday the 19th. I'm looking for a buddy I can talk to and learn from. I haven't told anyone outside my family about this. I'm not ready for the world to know yet. I guess I just don't want to hear all the BS...

Hi Melina...Well I'm 2 days post op and doing pretty good. I haven't had a lot of pain. It's really hard to get all the liquid down. How are you doing?

I feel so much better. My incisions themselves dont bother me. Its just the incisions in the muscle. I really wasnt able to get a lot of liquids down for about 3 days. About day 3 I could actually have strained cream soups and yogurt and juice. Im still on liquids but the cream soups are great. Today I can actually distinguish between hunger and gas :wink2: Im now starting to actually get hungry. I still cant get down 64oz of water a day but I can get down at least 32 to 44oz. Im so afraid to drink to much water at one time. Im not sure how that would affect my "pouch". I also had a hernia repaired at the same time so I kinda had a 2 for 1!! Keep resting. You'll notice every morning you feel better. I always amazed at our bodies and how fast we can heal!!! We will be at a year banded before you know it!!!
