Well when tommorrow hits, it will be one year since my Lapband Sugery.

Honestly I'm thrilled with the results, but I'm been real bummed out for the last 6 months.

I've really been hovering around the 100 pound mark.

I'm really struggling to figure out how to break 100 pounds and lose again. I'm been adjusted out the whazoo.

So I guess I'm just impressed that it has been a year but know I still have a lot of work to do, and just trying to figure out how to see more results.

100 lbs in a year is fantastic! I understand how frustrating a long plateau is, but you're a 10 year old smaller than you were a year ago!

First, GREAT JOB! Woo Hoo! This is a very long road sometimes and you are doing great making your way.

I think sometimes we tend to eat the same stuff over and over. Try to change it up a bit. Try drinking a few extra Protein shakes. Drink extra Water for a couple days. If you eat salad every day for lunch switch to chili for a couple days. Sometimes just mixing up the diet breaks a plateau.

100 pounds is amazing. Pat yourself on the back for your accomplishment and keep marching ahead. Could you add a little more activity or maybe more Protein into the diet???

100 pounds is an amazing loss! Congratulations!

Are you exercising? If not, now is the time to start. It will jumpstart your loss.

If you are, try changing your routine a bit.

One of the women who works at my doctors office weighed nearly 600 pounds before she was banded. She said that she has lost 300 pounds in 2 1/2 years. She told me that it is a slow process when you have a lot to lose. Your body has done well so far. I bet if you got a really good exercise program that you stick with and speak to a nutritionist you can get on track to lose another 100 in a year.

Congrats!!! 100 pounds in a year is awesome...its a lot easier to loose weight when you have a few hundred to loose as i found out the more you loose the tougher it is.......someone who has to loose 100 pounds can loose 20 pounds quicker and easier than someone who has to loose 20 pounds..... your doing great keep up good work :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
