Hit a weight loss plateau - will i start losing again after my 1st fill???

I have been doing well, lost most of my weight during pre-surgery diet and immediately after surgery. I have been going to the gym EVERY day and do at least 40 mins of cardio! I see my body changing and toning up, but the actual number has not really changed recently. I go in for my first fill in a couple days, will I start losing again? I'm afraid that I will now be stuck at this weight, even with the surgery!! Scared that that weight loss was it for me?!!:)

Great job on working out! That's a tough one and you are doing it! Keep up the good work.

Your first fill may or not give you any restriction. In the meantime to get your weight loss going again, you could follow a diet such as South Beach ( which is very band friendly) or weight watchers. They generally like to be conservative about fills and don't go for that sweet spot on the first try because the risk of overfilling is just too great. Hang in there, and even make your next fill appointment while you are in the office, so you know and can plan around it. It is time consuming, but so worth it!

Do some measuring too, so it's not just pounds you look to lose but inches as well. It's very satisfying to see those inches fall off.

Another thing, don't forget to keep yourself well hydrated...

good luck!

Thats the same possition I'm in. I had my surgery on September 17th 2010 & I lost 13 lbs the first week after surgery since I started the week before surgery.... But I weighed last night and I've since gained 3 lbs back... I'm not restricted what so ever... I sure hope the first fill makes a difference... I've been on solids since about 2 weeks after surgery..
