  1. I have been doing well, lost most of my weight during pre-surgery diet and immediately after surgery. I have been going to the gym EVERY day and do at least 40 mins of cardio! I see my body changing and toning up, but the actual number has not really changed recently. I go in for my first fill in a couple days, will I start losing again? I'm afraid that I will now be stuck at this weight, even with the surgery!! Scared that that weight loss was it for me?!!
  2. I am getting banded on August 31. I told the bare minimum that I was getting the surgery done! I took my "vacation" from work to get it done. I just hope I'm well enought to return without being in pain. That would blow my whole cover!!
  3. I have created a ticker, but I have no idea how to get it onto my thread, and discussions?? Please help me!!!:smile2::confused::confused:
  4. Yesterday was my first day of my pre-op diet, it went ok. I did have to walk through the grocery store to get to the bank, and they were baking brownies or something....what a killer! They smelled so good! But I stayed strong!! Yay! :thumbup:Over all, with the protein shakes, I wasn't STARVING, but I did wake up in the middle of the night with a rumbly tummy. I just went back to sleep. Is anyone using the "Special K" Protein shakes for their pre-op diet? I'm not quite sure if I am allowed to drink any kind of protein shake or if I should be using the "medical" quality kind like unjury or something. Does any one know??:smile2:
  5. HI, I AM ABOUT TO BE BANDED ON AUGUST 31, 2010. I AM STARTING MY PRE-SUGERY DIET ON AUGUST 17TH. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO MY SURGERY BECAUSE I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEW CHANGES TO MY BODY, BUT AS THE SUGERY DATE GETS CLOSER, THERE ARE DAYS WHEN I'M NOT SURE IF I WANT TO GO THROUGH WITH IT. IS THIS NORMAL?? I NEED A FRIEND TO TALK TO THROUGH THIS JOURNEY. I AM IN BUFFALO, NY. LOOK FORWARD TO TALKING!
  6. I am getting banded on August 31st, just a few days after you! I am excited, but very nervous! My insurance is covering my band though. I am in Buffalo, NY.
  7. I am scheduled to have surgery on August 31, 2010 at sister's hospital in Buffalo. My Surgeon's name is Tuan Pham. Did anyone one have their surgery done by him?? How is he? I'm just trying to get some feedback about him and the Hospital before I go in! I only met him for like 10 minutes at my first and only appointment. Its just hard to know someone is going to do surgery on you and you have only seen him once... should I be worried?? Or maybe, I'm freaking out a little bit...
  8. Thank you for the answering me. My mind has been more at ease since being on this website! I have sleep apnea also and CANNOT wait to get rid of that machine! You have helped me a lot!!
  9. Hi, everyone! I'm new to this website, but I am SO glad I found it! A lot of my questions have been answered! My surgery date is August 31st, 2010. I have never had surgery before so that is also making me nervous. How do you feel right after surgery? Can you acctually feel the band on your stomach? Can you feel the port? I guess I'm nervous about having a foreign object in my body... and comments or support would be greatly appreciated! I'm kinda freaking, but yet so ready to change my life!
